3.能理解对话大意,并能用正确的语音、语调朗读对话。

4.了解中国幅员辽阔,各地气候各有不同。

学情

分析

    大部分四年级学生,英语学习兴趣浓厚,善于模仿,敢于开口,乐于表现。在知识储备方面,学生已在A  Let’s talk 中会听、说单词cold,hot,并理解了单词cold寒冷的,hot烫的。学生的这些语言知识积累都可以被迁移和运用到这堂课中,成为本课的设计起点。

Warm up热身

 

Step I: Warm up

1.Enjoy the song-Rain, Rain, Go away.

T:Before the class, let’s enjoy a song. Let’s sing together.

After listening

T:When you open the window, what kind of weather do you think it is? Let’s go and have a look.

2.Let’s say

T:What’s the weather like outside?

Click the mouse and open the window. A sun is hanging in the sky.

Ss: It’s hot.

T:What’s the weather like outside?

Click the mouse and open the window. Snowflakes are floating in the air.

T: Wonderful. Today we will learn the four words: hot, cold, cool, warm.

热身环节通过听唱一首生动有趣的歌曲,吸引学生注意力,引入话题,借此帮助学生熟悉warm,cool,hot 、cold等有关词汇及句型。
Part 2 :

Let’s learn.学习本节课重点单词与句型。

Step II: Let’s learn:

1.Let’s learn

T:China is a beautiful country. Today Nina will take us to travel around China and to see the weather in some places.

Play an animated video to understand the meaning of the weather report in the situation, pronounce the new words and show the theme of the lesson: Different places have different weather.

Word 1:

Show the scene map and the sentences “Good morning. This is the weather report. It’s warm in Beijing today.”to learn the new word“warm”. Through dialogue, thermometer, picture, pronunciation to understand it.

Word 2:

Show the scene map and the sentences “ It’s cold in Harbin today.”to learn the new word“cold”. Through dialogue, thermometer, picture, pronunciation to understand it.

Word 3:

Show the scene map and the sentences “ It’s cool in Lhasa today.”to learn the new word“cool”. Through dialogue, thermometer, picture, pronunciation to understand it.

Word 4:

Show the scene map and the sentences “ It’s hot in Hong Kong today.”to learn the new word“hot”. Through dialogue, thermometer, picture, pronunciation to understand it.

2. Make a chant

According to the newly learned words, make a chant.

Warm, warm. It’s warm in Beijing.

Cold, cold. It’s cold in Harbin.

Cool, cool. It’s cool in Lhasa.

Hot, hot. It’s hot in Hong Kong.

播放教材中Let’s learn的动画视频,让学生在情境中理解weather report的意思,引导、鼓励学生自主拼读新词,并出示本课主题:不同的地方有不同的天气。这样的呈现方式能让学生在整体中学习语言,明确语言的使用情境,更好地实现语用。
