学情

分析

六年级的学生已经学习了三年英语,有一定英语基础。大部分同学具有强烈的好奇心和浓厚的学习兴趣,他们上课积极活跃。部分同学由于基础不扎实,缺乏自信,不愿表达,害怕开口。

在教学过程中,教师要改进课堂教学方式,让师生之间的课堂活动形式更加多样化,师生之间更加融洽;重新调整对学生的评价模式,让他基础弱的同学更好的发挥自身潜能,规范学习态度,严谨学习作风;并且加强与学生家长的交流,更好发挥家校共建作用:与问题学生多谈心,多交流,帮助他们想办法,解决学习上存在的问题,让他们看到努力后的结果。

学生之前已经学过“factory worker,postman…”等职业,以及“What does he/she do?”目标语言,而今天将进一步学习如何询问他人在何处工作,如何去工作,今这是上节课的巩固和拓展。

1.Lead in

T:Look!Mike and Xiao Yu are going home now. Mike sees a man coming towards them.

2. Listen and circle

T:Look at these two sentences. Now let’s listen to the tape and circle the correct answer.

After listening

T:Any volunteer?

T:Very good!

3.Listen and fill

T:Now let’s listen again and fill in the blanks.

4.Let’s answer

T:Now let’s answer some questions according to this mind-map about Xiao Yu’s uncle.

Step III:Let’s talk:

1.Watch and answer

T:We knew something about Xiao Yu’s uncle. How about Mike’s uncle. Now let’s watch and answer these two questions: 1.What does Mike’s uncle do? 2.Where does he work?

2.Let’s watch

T:Now let’s watch the video.

3.Let’s answer

T:Who can share with us your answer?

S1:He is a fisherman.

S2:He works at sea.

4.Listen and answer

T:Now let’s listen to the tape and answer the questions: How does he go to work?

After listening

T:By bike.

T:Yes. He goes to work by bike. He has a very healthy life.

5.Let’s say

T:So Mike says : “He works very hard and stays healthy!” We should study hard and stay healthy, too.

6.Watch and imitate

T:Now let’s watch the video and imitate the conversation.

7.Read in group

T:Look at the conversation. Two students in a group and role-play the conversation.

8.Let’s retell

T:Now let’s retell something about Mike’s uncle according to the passage.
