1. Teachers and students greet each other.

2. Sing a song

T:Before the class, let’s enjoy a song.

The whole class clap their hands and sing along.

3.T: Let’s chant.

 

1.在问候中练习日常口语,把学生注意力引入到课堂之中。

2.用熟悉的英文歌曲活跃课堂气氛,以便引出新知。

3.韵句能够使学生集中注意力,并激发学习兴趣。利用本韵句中的国家名称词汇内容,温故知新,。

Step II: Let’s talk&learn.

1.Lead in:role play

T: I am Wu Binbin. You are Amy.

T: Hello, I am Binbin. What’s your name?

Ss: I’m Amy.Nice to meet you.

T: Nice to meet you, too.I am from China. Where are you from.

Ss: I am from the UK.

2.Let’s talk: listen to the record.

A new situation: Wu Binbin Introduces new student Amy to the Mr Jones. The teacher asks Amy’s nationality.

3.Answer the question:

Q1:Who are they?

A1:Mr Jones/Wu Binbin/Amy

Q2: Who is the new student?

A2:Amy is the new student.

Q3:Where is she from?

A3:She is from the UK.

4.The teacher plays audio again, and the students imitated the pronunciation and read it.

T: I’ll show the dialogue again. Please read with it. Pay attention to the pronunciation.

5. Look and guess

T: What animal is it?

Ss:It is a panda.

T: What animal is it?

Ss:It is a beaver.

T: What animal is it?

Ss:It is a bold eagle.

T: What animal is it?

Ss:It is a kangaroo.

T: Do you know where are these animals from?

6. Look and say

T:Which country is it?

Ss:It’s the USA.

T:Look, the Bold Eagle is form the USA. Now, you are the eagle. Let’s read together.

Ss:I’m  Bold Eagle. You can call me Eagle. I’m from the USA.

T:Which country is it?

Ss:It’s Canada.

T:Look, the beaver is form Canada.

Ss:I’m Beaver. I’m from Canada.

T:Which country is it?

Ss:It’s Australia.

T:Look, the Kangaroo is form Australia.

Ss:I’m  Kangaroo. I’m from Australia.

T:Which country is it?

Ss:It’s China.

T:Look, the Panda is form China.

Ss:I’m Panda. I’m from China.

7.T:Let’s finish the dialogue.

Ss:I am Bold Eagle.

I’m from the USA.

Where are you from?

Ss:Hi, Bold Eagle!

I am Kangaroo.

I’m from Australia.

T:Australia, its treasure animal is the kangaroo.
