4. 文化意识:能了解toilet和restroom的不同,了解不同文化之间的差异,潜移默化地渗透人文教育理念。

学情

分析

本课的授课对象是五年级的学生。Culture time和Cartoon time板块分别是一个文化常识和一则幽默小故事。Culture time介绍了“厕所”在英国和美国两个英语国家的不同表达。学生在比较的过程中感受英式英语和美式英语的表达异同,尝试从不同的视角观察、认识世界。Cartoon time讲述了Bobby和Tina虽换乘多种交通工具,却未能看到电影的搞笑又悲伤的故事,让学生体悟合理规划出行的重要性,形成绿色出行的理念。

Step I: Warm up

1.Quick eyes

T:Before the class, let’s play a game.

(See the pictures and say them quickly. Review words)

2.Pair work

T:Now let’s review the expressions of asking and showing the way. Try to ask and show the way in many ways.

S:How do I get (to)+地点?   ……

S:Go along …Street.   ……

T:Look at the map and answer my question. How do I get to the cinema?

S:Walk along Mango Street. Turn right at the first traffic lights. Then, go along Apple Street. Turn right at the second traffic lights. Walk along until you can see the cinema on your left.

T:What can we do in the cinema?

S:We can see a film.

T:Do you like to see a film?

S:Yes.

T:Let’s go to the cinema with two new friends.

本环节以图片快闪游戏导入,让学生借助图片回忆所学过的单词,既能够激发课堂氛围,又能带领学生巩固上节课基础词汇。

通过上节课所学习过的关于问路和指路的不同表达方式,借助其多种表达来询问“电影院”在哪里并回答;接着询问可以在电影院里做什么,引出“see a film看电影”的新词汇,过渡到cartoon time的小故事中。

Part 2 :

Presentation.学习本节课重点单词与句型。

Step II: Presentation

1.Ask and answer

T:Who are they?

S:They are Bobby and Tina.

T:What are they doing?

S:They are sitting on the sofa and talking.

T:……

2.Let’s learn

T:Look! Bobby and Tina is reading a map. They want to see a new film. They want to go to City Cinema. How do they get to City Cinema?

S:Tina says:“We can go by bus.”

(Lead in phrases: “want to do sth.” “by bus”)

T:They wait for the bus at the bus stop.

(wait for等待  at+小地点  stop车站)

Make notes: discriminate “stop” and “station”

T:They get in a taxi.(get in 上车)

Make notes: discriminate “get on” and “get in”

T:They get to the cinema by metro, but the film is over.

(They get to the cinema by metro.=The take the metro to the cinema.)

3.Watch and answer

T:How many traffic transports are mentioned in the video?

S:Three.

T:……

4.Let’s think

T:Please read carefully and find more details. What happens to them on the way?

(1)How do they want to go to the cinema at first?

(2)Why do they take the taxi?

(3)Do they get to the cinema by taxi?

让学生观察图中的人物回答问题,带着这些问题进入卡通文本学习,同时解决问题。
