Step 1 The simple present tense and the present continuous tense
- Game time: True or False
T: Boys and girls. Do you know your classmates well? Now let’s play a guessing game. Describe yourself, and let your classmates judge true or false.

T: Do you like watching the programme Dad, where are we going? I like it very much. Look at this picture. Who is he? Stone. What is Stone doing? Let’s play a guessing game. You can say “Is he shouting?” or “Is he crying?”

T: I want to say thanks to Miss Li. She was my English teacher in junior middle school. I couldn’t pronounce some English sounds well. She helped me patiently. Now I become an English teacher like her.
