教材分析

What:These are conversations about identifying the colors of objects and it still includes some greeting and asking for objects and their spellings.

Why:Let students know how to asking others about identifying the colors of objects and enhance their communication ability.

How:The content of conversations in 3c including the knowledge in starter unit 1 and 2 provide a good combination which can help Ss review the words and sentences and learn the new words and sentence. Ss can improve their speaking and listening ability by practicing the conversation.

By the end of this lesson, students will be able to:

1. 语言能力:Master key vocabulary and sentence patterns and the different sounds of the letters I to R in open and closed syllables; correctly use the learned sentence structure to simply identify and ask about items.

2. 学习能力:Learn how to pronounce new words by learning pronunciation rules and obtain relevant information by listening to the recording to improve my listening and speaking ability; improve the comprehensive English ability, cultivate the fun of learning English in listening, speaking, reading training.

3. 文化意识:Understand the methods of asking and identifying objects, and recognize the Chinese and English terms of different objects, so that students can realize the diversity of cultures, improve students’ basic ability to compare and judge cultural similarities and differences.

4. 思维品质: think, internalize and revise the knowledge to spell new words, and improve my ability of criticism and innovation after learning related phonological knowledge。

Step 2 T shows the color words

to Ss and asks them to recall the pronunciation of them.

Step 3 T shows a example conversation about asking colors , lets Ss to practice it by playing the Big Wheel game.

 

Ss practice the conversation by playing the Big Wheel game.

Step 4 T plays the recording in 3a and them show the right answers to Ss. Ss listen to the recording in 3a and finish it. It can help Ss improve their ability of listening and speaking.
