Analysis of teaching material
What: The text of this lesson consists of three short dialogues commonly used in daily conversations among junior high school students, so they can talk with their partners or group members very easily. The content is about how to use superlative degree to compare different movie theaters. In each conversation, one person invites the other to watch a movie together and then they discuss which theater is the best. Finally, they choose the best movie theater to go to watch the movie. Why: The author uses three conversations to talk about good movie theaters, use superlative degree, and let students know how to compare people or things in their daily lives. This guides students to establish a sense of rational planning and choose the best option through a process of selecting the optimal solution. Through the practice of dialogue between students, it can also enhance their relationships with each other. How: This text is a typical conversation in daily life, involving some vocabulary related to watching movies and choosing movie theaters, such as “seat”, “screen”, “ticket”, “popular”, “see a movie”, “It sounds good”, etc. During the conversation, the main topic shifts through questions like “What’s the best movie theater to go to?” and “Do you know a good movie theater?” The other person compares options and provides their own favorite movie theater, explaining why it is the best and what its unique features are. In previous lessons, students have learned comparative degree, and this dialogue introduces the superlative degree to compare things among three or more items. The plot of the conversation is simple and easy to understand, with practical and educational significance. |

语言基础:学生对于描述某一物品/人物的形容词掌握有限,需注重词汇的学习应用,用直观的教学方式开展,比如比较的图片等。对于形容词的最高级,规则的构成相对简单,不规则的需加大操练力度,尤其是常见的不规则形式。
学习能力:基于本单元话题,学生能够通过比较,描述自己的喜好,表达自己的观点,这不仅仅是语言功能的体现,也是认知水平发展的提升训练。这个阶段学生具备一定的对比分析能力,所以在教学过程中,通过设计活动,问答等引导其进行比较,结合语言点输出,能培养学生乐于思考,乐于学习的能力。
