教材分析

What:These is a conversation about asking others about identifying objects. The content includes how to communicate and how to ask for spelling of a word when the speaker don’t know the English word of an object.

Why:Let students know how to asking others about identifying objects and enhance their communication ability.

How:The situation of the conversations provides many words of items which can help students to know more things around them. The conversation includes the usage of “spell” which can help students to understand and control it.

 

教学目标

By the end of this lesson, students will be able to:

1. 语言能力:Master key vocabulary and sentence patterns and the different sounds of the letters I to R in open and closed syllables; correctly use the learned sentence structure to simply identify and ask about items.

2. 学习能力:Learn how to pronounce new words by learning pronunciation rules and obtain relevant information by listening to the recording to improve my listening and speaking ability. In listening, speaking, reading training, improve the comprehensive English ability, cultivate the fun of learning English.

3. 文化意识:Understand the methods of asking and identifying objects, and recognize the Chinese and English terms of different objects, so that students can realize the diversity of cultures, improve students’ basic ability to compare and judge cultural similarities and differences.

4. 思维品质:After learning related phonological knowledge, I can think, internalize and revise the knowledge to spell new words, and improve my ability of criticism and innovation.

Step 1 T greets students. Then T invites students to play a game of puzzles to review the words that have been learned in last class. Ss play a game of puzzles to review the words.

 

The form of game can arose students’ scheme and create an

active classroom atmosphere.

Pre-listening (5)
Step 2 T asks Ss to complete the words in 3a and then show the right answer to Ss.  

Ss finish 3a.

Completing the words can help students advance the spelling of the word and lay a good foundation for the following learning.
Step 3 T shows a complete conversation including “spell” , lets Ss to guess the meaning of spell and then teaches them how to use it.

 

Ss read the conversation and guess the meaning of spell and then learn the usage of spell.

 

 

Learning the meaning of them can lay a good foundation of following listening and speaking.
