目标

学情

分析

本课时是人教版六年级下册第一单元第一课时。围绕How tall are you?这一话题展开,主要通过对话学习词汇younger, older, taller, shorter, longer及句型How tall are you? I’m… You’re …than…的表达。引导学生关注自己身边的人,培养学生学习英语的热情,树立学好英语的信心。本课时的的重点是四会单词的掌握以及能够运用四会单词描述人物的外貌特点。

本课时包括Let’s learn 和Do a survey and report两个板块。Let’s learn呈现了Sarah 和Miss White比较年龄,张鹏和John比较身高,Amy 和Chen Jie 比较裙子长短的情景,体现了单词比较级的词性和意义。此情境是发生在校园里,学生很容易接受,也因为贴近学生的实际生活,更能激发学生学习的兴趣。Do a survey and report 板块是一个综合性的语用活动。学生可以通过这个活动将A 部分Let’s learn所学的词汇和句型描述自己和同学的实际情况,做到学以致用。

本课时是新授课,四会单词的原级已经学过,所以学生接受新知比较快。在设计教学过程时,遵循以学生为主体的原则。采用听、说、读、 写、玩的方法调动全体学生的参与。通过任务型教学法、合作探究教学法等引导学生自主学习。

1.Watch a short video and chant after it.

Teacher leads students to review some adjectives by presenting different pictures.

本环节学生跟着视频一起chant,内容采用三年级下册3单元A部分,通过chant复习本节课需要用到的形容词,为学习新内容做好
Part 2 :

Presentation

Step II: Let’s learn:

1.Teach the new words “taller, shorter, younger, older, longer”.

Look at the pictures about different people and objects.(课件呈现图片)

T: Look at the girl. What’s she like?

S1: She is young.

T: Look at the baby. What’s she like?

S2: She is younger.

T: The baby is younger than the girl.

Ask different students to repeat the sentence after the teacher. Then leads the students to write the new word “younger” for three times.

T: Look at my mother. What’s she like?

S3:She is old.

T:Look at my grandmother. What’s she like?

S4:She is older.

T:My grandma is older than my mother.

Ask different students to repeat the sentence after the teacher. Then leads students to write the new word “older” for three times.

Teach the rest words in the same way.

2.Let’s read

T:Now let’s read the new words and repeat aloud.

3.Let’s find

T:Now let’s read all the words and tell me what you can find.

4. Let’s play

T: Now let’s play a game. I show a word, you say it’s comparative form or itself as quickly as you can.

5. Look and say

T: Now let’s look at the people. Please answer my questions. One, Who are they?

Ss: They are Miss White, Sarah, Zhang Peng, John, Amy and Chen Jie.

T: What are they like? Let’s see and talk about them. Listen and answer the question: How tall is John?

S5:1.61.

T: Now can you talk about them? Let’s have a try.

S6:Zhang Peng is taller. John is shorter.

Leads students to practice the rest objectives in the same way.

6. Watch and repeat

T: Now let’s watch a short video and repeat the conversation aloud.

7. Fill in the blanks

T: Now fill in the blanks.

8. Enjoy a song

T: Let’s enjoy a song, you can sing along with it.

 

沿用Lead in部分创设的情境,帮助学生从三组形容词的原级自然过渡到比较级,能自主学习新单词和总结比较级的构词规律。再回归A. Let’s learn部分,进一步学习与巩固。

Enjoy a song环节,让学生学唱形容词比较级歌曲,复习了形容词比较级的构成,同时让学生放松一下,调整思维和状态准备下一步学习。
