教材分析

What: A short conversation about asking other’s favorite subjects and the reasons.

Why:Let students know how to asking others about favorite subjects and the reasons and enhance their communication ability in terms of the topic of subjects.

How:The dialogue presents words and adjectives for a number of subjects by asking for favorite subjects, and also adds compound sentences of  “because” in addition to simple sentences.

By the end of this lesson, students will be able to:

(1) Master the expression of 8 school subjects.

(2) Master the basic sentence patterns of the date of inquiry and reply.

(3) Master five adjectives: fun, interesting, boring, difficult,

4. 思维品质:improve Ss’s critical thinking ability when expressing views on the subject; improving the ability to innovate by creating their own dialogue.

Step 1 T greets students. Then T shows a video about birthday party and asks them  questions.

(1) What are they talking about?

(2) How many subjects does it talk?

(3) Which subject is your favorite one?

 

Ss watch the video and answer the questions. A video can attract Ss and let them pay more attention to the topic of subjects.

Pre-listening (7)
Step 2 1. T leads Ss to guess the eight subject words by pictures and teaches them how to pronounce and write them.

1a can lead Ss to firstly know the eight words so that the learning of word can be more smoothly. Games can attract Ss and give Ss a interesting knowledge input.

While-listening (15)
Step 3 T plays the recording for the first time to ask Ss to finish 1b.

 

 

Ss listen to the record to finish 1b and then finish the exercises.. It can help Ss improve their ability of listening. Exercises can help Ss advance their learning of the sentence patterns.
